Finn Balor’s Injury Nixed Triple Threat Plans For Hell in a Cell
August 25, 2016 | Posted by
– The WON reports that Finn Balor’s injury has nixed plans for a Triple Threat match at Hell in a Cell between Balor, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. The site reports that Balor was scheduled to face Owens for the Universal Title at Clash of Champions on September 25th, which would have ended in such a way that set up the three-way match at the October PPV.
Balor’s injury forced him to give up the championship and as announced on Raw, a Fatal Four Way match will take place next week between Owens, Big Cass, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Rollins and Reigns were planned to be kept out of the title picture for a few months; it isn’t known whether Balor’s injury has changed those plans.
